5/25/2023 0 Comments Adobe captivate templatesYou CAN build your own scored interactions on normal slides and have them report to the quiz. I'd love for it to be a constructive conversation.Įven if it doesn't have the specific features you may want, Captivate is still (as far as I am aware) still regarded as the front runner in the e-learning authoring tool market. If there is a more suitable place to discuss what how Captivate needs to improve to move towards usability parity with its competitors, I'd be happy to go there. Like designing visually complex response feedback.Īnd there is still no workaround for radio buttons that need to be bigger than 24 pixels, as asked in the question above. Like accessing quiz scoring from custom slides. I've been on your blog as well as all over these forums.īut many, many of those workarounds that use JS and custom building are things that can be done with 1 click in the competition's apps for years now. I've also appreciated all the work you have done for years in helping people with workarounds o do things in captivate that it doesn't do with ease in the GUI. Meanwhile, I've moved every organization I've consulted with to other apps, and everyone has been grateful.Īnd I'd love to keep my comments to specific questions and answers, but it seems like the answers - like the 2 year old unanswered question above - is that its just not possible to do in Captivate. has decided to just continue to milk that decrepit code base and trapped customer base until the former falls apart completely or the latter has finally had enough. Now that their competitors are eating their lunch, I suspect that Adobe Inc. Captivate runs on the fastest hardware like you're using a netbook or something. Look at how Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects have evolved and been optimized with features and performance on newer hardware. The CC teams would NOT survive if they managed their apps like that. Since version 5, Captivate's development has progressed at a snail's pace going multiple years between updates with the occasional new feature or 2 being tacked onto a horribly old and non-optimized code-base. So we HAVE to work with Captivate, instead of its far superior competitors. SCORM 1.2 has a different meaning to them, I guess. And the reason is that my current client got cornered into using the PRIME LMS - Yes, from the same wonderful branch of Adobe that manages captivate - and it actually REQUIRES quiz modules to be authored in Captivate to report accurately. This is going to be a rant because I've been all over these boards trying to figure out how to do many many tasks that other apps now do with ease. Its not even going to go to the same part of the planet earth. Your feature request is NOT going to register like a request that is sent to a CC app. Well, there's Adobe and then there's the Adobe eLearning team.
